Between extreme natural disasters hitting harder every year, and extremist world leaders playing with matches and only half a brain (not ours, of course), it’s getting hard to tell which one we should be more afraid of. I live in Florida, so I’m constantly prepping for hurricanes, floods, and lightning-caused fires. In the last bad hurricane, the electricity was out for 13 days. And while that’s happening here, other parts of the country are dealing with blizzards, droughts, or wildfires — you name it. It’s not getting better; it’s getting worse.
Then there’s our overworked, aging power grid. It wasn’t built for the kind of strain we’ve been demanding of it, and its cracks are only getting bigger. Add in global politics that feel more like a powder keg than progress, and here we are — buzzing around like a mosquito, annoying nuclear-armed nutjobs with twitchy slap hands!
